Verschay, Catherine (DEC 1941)

A pretty fall wedding was solemnized last week in Chicago when Miss Catherine Verschay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Verschay, Sr., of Willard, became the bride of Erwin Grap, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. August Grap of Globe, which took place at the St. Clements Catholic Church with Father Freeman officiating.

The bride was attired in a princess gown ankle length of ivory satin and oriental lace. Her tulle veil fell entrain from a crown of white and ivory seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of gardenias, white roses, carnations, and snap dragons.

Miss Christine Verschay, sister of the bride was the bride’s maid and her only attendant. She wore a deep aqua blue ankle length gown, with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of pink and deep rose chrysanthemums.

Cecil Anderson of Milwaukee, a friend of the groom, attended the groom as best man.

Both the groom and the best man wore tuxedos.

A reception was held at the Century Limited Club where covers were laid for fifty close relatives and friends.

Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Verschay, Sr., of Willard, parents of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. August Grap of Globe, parents of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Valentine Jeras, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tartar of Brookfield, Ill.; Mr., and Mrs. Victor Ciphron of Congress Park, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Cy Reindel of Neillsville; Messrs.
