Miss Ella Kunz Missing
Miss Ella Kunz, who has a millinery store in this city, is missing and up to the time of going to press no information as to her whereabouts has been received here.
She left home on Saturday, March 2nd, for Milwaukee, to study millinery styles and select her spring stock. She stopped off at Fond du Lac to visit her brother, and on Sunday wrote her parents that she had met a very nice woman on the train who granted her to room with her in Milwaukee, Monday evening, March 4th. She left Fond du Lac for Milwaukee, and on Tuesday, March 5th, she was seen at the Y.W.C.A. rooms for dinner, since which time she has not been seen or heard from.
The first intimation received that she was not at the wholesale store, was by a letter from the firm asking why she did not come. Her sister, Ida, Mrs. Will Hansohn, went to Milwaukee and with the aid of the mayor and city officers made a search of the city, and when she returned Tuesday evening, no trace of her sister had been found.
Ella was about 19 years old and had a good trade in her millinery business, and her parents and intimate friends know of no reason why she would willingly absent herself from her home and business in such a manner. The family fear foul play, either from the "very nice woman" she met on the train of from other cause.
Milwaukee detectives and head officers of the E.F.U. are making every effort possible to locate her whereabouts, and kind friends here at home are deeply sympathizing with the grief-stricken father and mother.
