Curtiss Young Man Married Owen Girl
Miss Clara Wendt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Wendt of Owen and Mr. Floyd Buchanan of Curtiss were united in marriage at the home of the bird’s parents, Saturday evening, August 2nd at 7:00 o’clock. The Rev. A. C. Wendt of Chicago, uncle of the bride performing the ceremony.
The bride wore a ****bad copy**** and cream georgette with cream hose and slippers and carried a colonial corsage of pink rose and bridal wreath. The groom wore a dark blue suite.
Miss Alma Wendt, a sister of the bride acted as bridesmaid. Glynn Buchanan, a brother of the groom acted as best man.
The groom is a prosperous young many of Curtiss having been engaged in farming for the past few years, and is well liked in the community.
The bride for the past few years has been assistant postmaster in the Owen post office and has won for herself a large acquaintance and made a host of friends.
After a short reception at the home of the brides’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. Buchanan left for a trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota. They will be at home to their friends at Curtiss after August 15th.
