Owen Theatre Sold
George Krom, owner and manager of the Owen Theatre for the past seventeen years, this week announced the sale of his property to Leonard Hamm, Owen, and Paul Stasek, of Curtiss.
Mr. Krom plans on leaving Owen Tuesday and will fly to Portland, Ore., where he will spend about ten days locating a home for his family in that city, as they expect to move to that section of the country this summer.
Further announcement pertaining to the sale of the property, and date of change of ownership, will be made next week.

For the past several years he (Dell R. Richardson) had been employed as projectionist at the Owen Theater. He tended to this work up until the night previous to a stroke on the 24th of June, 1950.

Phillip R. Vollrath (1940-1999) worked at Maules Dairy in Owen until 1987 and
then worked for Hurd Millwork in Medford until 1998. He and his wife also owned
and operated the Owen Theater from 1981 until 1986.
