Pfc. John LaGasse, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Lantz, and Joyce Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. S. Wagner, were united in marriage in the Sanctuary of the Chicago Temple, First Methodist Church at Chicago, on Saturday, Oct. 14th, 1944. The ceremony was performed by Charles Ray Goff, pastor.
The couple was attended by Sgt. Harry Hall of Hartford, Conn., and Miss Evelyn Corrie of Waterloo, Iowa, a friend of the bride.
The bride was attired in a wool suit of winter white with accessories of black and a corsage of peach Pinocchio roses. Her only jewelry was a tiny gold locket.
The bridesmaid wore a rust colored jumper suit and gold blouse with rust accessories and a corsage of pink sweet briar roses.
The groom and his attendant, also four of his friends who were present, wore the popular khaki.
Both the mother of the bride and of the groom attended the ceremony, the former being attired in a beige dress with rust accessories and corsage of yellow roses. The groom’s mother wore a navy blue ensemble with accessories of white and a corsage of red roses.
