Osowski, Frances (16 SEP 1887 - 21 JUL 1944)
Mrs. Frances Osowski of the Town of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at the Chippewa Hospital on Friday, July 21, 1944, after a lingering illness. She was 56 years of age.
Frances Cieciora was born in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Sept. 16, 1887. She came to Thorp at an early age and this community was her home until death. She was united in marriage to Vincent Osowski of Thorp in 1907.
Those left to mourn her untimely demise are her husband, six sons, Edward, Stanley, Thomas and Norbert at home, Pfc. John and Pvt. Harry in the U.S. Armed Forces; four daughters, Mrs. Chas. (Gertrude) Truse, Mrs. John (Clara) Biddle, Mrs. Stanley (Martha) Wargolet and Theresa of Thorp; four brothers, Frank and Anton Cieciora of Thorp, Leon Cieciora of Wausau and Joseph Cieciora of Indiana; three sisters, Mrs. John (Agnes) Zaborowski, Mrs. Andrew (Mary) Abramczuk of Thorp, and Mrs. Stanley (Rose) Finnegan of Chicago, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. F. Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock Monday morning, July 24th and interment was made in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were, John Papierniak, Joe Czernicki, Chas. Deniszkiewicz, Jos. Moczarny, Joe Lang and Wm. Zawacki.
