Miller, Geraldine (14 DEC 1944)

Lieut. Kenneth C. Baehr, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Baehr, and Miss Geraldine Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Miller of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were joined in the holy bonds of matrimony by Rev. Shedler at St. John’s Lutheran Parsonage, Withee, in a ceremony performed at 2:00 o’clock Thursday afternoon, Dec. 14th, 1944.

The couple was attended by Earl Baehr, cousin of the groom, as best man and Lucille Jennings, cousin of the bride.

The bride was beautifully attired in a gown of white marquisette with a sweetheart neckline, and knee length veil caught in a crown of pearlized orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and white pompoms and wore a bracelet of sterling silver and pink gold, a gift of the groom. Her bridesmaid wore yellow marquisette. Mrs. Edward Miller, matron of honor, a sister of the groom, was dressed in white satin and net. Both she and the bridesmaid wore corsages of yellow chrysanthemums, crystal necklaces (gift of the bride) and headbands of white flowers.

The groom wore his service uniform and his attendants, oxford gray with carnations boutonnieres.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Ernest Vetterkind home for immediate relatives. A dance was held in the American Legion Hall at Thorp in the evening.

The groom is a pilot in the U.S. Air Corps. The bride will return to her work at the Blue Moon Foods, Inc., Thorp.
