COLBY -- Sharon G. Hayton, 63, of Colby, died Monday, April 21, 2008, at Saint Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

A celebration of life will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Colby VFW Post No. 2227.

Sharon was born Sept. 10, 1944, in Portland, Ore., to Christopher and Ethel (Strizel) Ruud. Sharon married Lloyd Hayton on Jan. 18, 1964, in Reno, Nev. She was employed at the University of Oregon. After moving to Colby, she was employed at Colby Metals.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Lloyd Hayton of Colby; one son, Ronnie (Stephanie) Hayton, San Angelo, Texas, one daughter, Shellie (Jeff) Peterson, Abbotsford; two granddaughters; and one brother, Mick (Muriel) Ruud, of Eugene, Ore.
