GRANT RESIDENT, 77, DIES ON SATURDAY

Funeral Rites for Mrs. Gottlieb Mallig Planned Wednesday

Granton--Last rites for Mrs. Gottlieb Mallig, 77, who died at 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the Oswald Pischer home, Town of Grant, will be held at the Pischer home at 1:30 p.m. and at the Granton Lutheran Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday.

The Rev. Arthur Laesch will have charge of the rites, and the body will lie in state at the Jaster Funeral Home in Neillsville until 2 p.m. Tuesday, when it will be taken to the Pischer home.

Mrs. Mallig was born in Germany on Sept. 2, 1864, and came to the United States 62 years ago. She was married to Gottlieb Mallig at Cleveland, Ohio, on March 18, 1888, after which they moved to Neillsville, where they lived for 12 years.

They then moved to Globe, where they lived until 1919, when they came to Grant to live with their daughter, Mrs. Oswald Pischer.

Surviving are her husband and four children, Mrs. Lebrecht (Ida) Kalsow, Globe; William Mallig, Milwaukee; Mrs. Oswald (Anna) Pischer, Grant; Mrs. Paul (Elsie) Kelpin, Payette, Idaho.
