BOILING SPRINGS LAKE, S.C. -- Mr. Kenneth Wesley Worden, "The Cheese Haus Man" 86, of Boiling Spring Lakes, S.C., died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at the Lower Cape Fear and Hospice Life Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at Cape Fear Alliance Church. Burial will follow in the Northwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Peacock-Newman & White Funeral Home in Southport, S.C.
Mr. Worden was born Feb. 5, 1922, in Greenwood, the son of Wesley and Neva (Sinclair) Worden. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving During World War II. He owned and operated the Cheese Haus Restaurant and Deli in Southport.
He is survived by two sons, David Worden of Shallotte, S.C., and Kenneth James Worden of Boiling Spring Lakes; three daughters, Phyllis Bush of Algoma, Pamela Turner of Southport, and Sue Adams of Rainsville, Ala.; two brothers, Robert Worden of Greenwood and Warren Worden of Menominee, Mich.; 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
