Huberty, Linda (30 JUN 1945)

At 1:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon, June 30th, 1945, Miss Linda Huberty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Huberty of the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Bernard Buss, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Buss of Withee (Clark Co.), at a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Lutheran Parsonage at Thorp, with Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiating.

The bride was attired in a white net gown over taffeta with fingertip veil and carried a bouquet of white carnations, pink roses, and baby’s breath.

Miss Verona Huberty, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a pink net gown over taffeta. The bridesmaids, Miss Edith Strovers and Miss Helen Gorsegner, cousin of the groom, were dressed in white and blue taffeta respectively, and carried a bouquets of pink carnations, blue forget-me-nots, and baby’s breath. They wore headbands of white orange blossoms.

The groom and his best men, Al Huberty, brother of the bride, and Earl Vetterkind, wore navy blue suits with white carnations boutonnieres.

A six o’clock reception was held for immediate relatives at the home of the bride’s parents.

A dance and shower were held at the Mileaway Pavilion with music by the Jolly Melodiers.
