Harry J. Badzinski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Badzinski of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), and Miss Margaret Komanec, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Komanec of Gilman, were united in marriage at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church at Gilman in a nine o’clock ceremony performed Wednesday morning, July 18th, 1945.
The bride was attired in a gown of satin and net with lace trim. Her long tulle veil was edged with lace and held with a form fitting cap of lace and orange blossoms. Her bridal bouquet was of white roses and baby breath. She carried a crystal rosary and wore the groom’s gift of a gold cross.
Her bridesmaid, Valentina Badzinski, wore baby blue net and blue blusher and crown of orange blossoms.
Mrs. Harry Shewczyk, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Margaret Kubera, bridesmaid, was attired in pink net and pink blusher. Little Kathleen Kliser, niece of the bride and James Strzok, nephew of the groom acted as flower girl and ring bearer and were dressed the same as the bride and groom. The bridesmaids and flower girl carried bouquets of mixed flowers.
The groom and best man, Joseph Komanec, wore brown pencil striped suits. The groom’s other attendant, Pfc. Albert Badzinski, was in uniform.
The reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents and a dance was enjoyed at the Gilman pavilion in the evening.
The groom was recently discharge from the U.S. Army after four years service. He is now in the employ of the Central Refrigeration Co. of Thorp.
Out of town guests at the wedding were: Cpl. And Mhester Nygren and children of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Joe Olynick of Jump River, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Dubiak, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kawalkewicz, Mrs. Hevier and son Steven, Mr. and Mrs. Nick Shewczyk, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hrywiko, Mr. and Mrs. Matt Kouic, Mary Mildred and Joe Kliscz, Mr. and Mrs. John Mravic, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Soper and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Soper, all of Lublin, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Smith of Perkinstown.
