Halbrader, George A. (9 June 1888 - 24 Mar. 1944)

Funeral services for George A. Halbrader, 55, town of Seif, were conducted at the Schiller-Tribune funeral home on Tuesday, March 28. Rev. George W. Longenecker, pastor of the Congregational Church was the officiating pastor. Interment took place in the town of Seif Cemetery.

Mr. Halbrader died Friday, March 24. He was the son of August and Amelia Halbrader, and was born on June 9, 1888, at Sullivan, Jefferson County, Wis. he came to Clark County with his parents, when twelve years of age, and completed his education here. On September 18, 1909, he was united in marriage to Miss Lula May Schwamb at Tioga.

During his many years of residence in the town of Seif, he served faithfully on the town and school board, and for twelve consecutive years was town treasurer. The high respect of his neighbors and friends attest his fine character.

Mr. Halbrader is survived by his wife and three sons, Lawrence, who is employed in Iowa, and John and Victor at home. Two sisters, Anna, Mrs. Clarence Markline, Wauwatosa, and Augusta, Mrs. Clarence Peterson, Rockford, Ill., also survive.

Pallbearers were Ed. and Ted Ziegler, John Zajac, John Seif, Dewey Walker and Frank Van Horn.
