Tober, Charles Arnold (9 Feb. 1903 - 20 Apr. 1944)

Funeral services for Charles A. Tober, 41, of the town of Lynn, were held Sunday, April 23, at the Gilbertson funeral home, Granton, Rev. George W. Longenecker, pastor of the Congregational Church officiating. Burial took place in the Lynn Cemetery.

Mr. Tober was born February 9, 1903, at Larrabee, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Tobert. He passed away on April 20, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, after a brief illness.

On December 14, 1924, he was married to Mabel Schler, and they made their home on a farm in the town of Lynn, Clark County. Six children were born to them, two of whom are deceased.

He is survived by his wife and four sons, Wilbert, 16, Donald, 14, Merlyn, 10 and Eugene 8. Two sisters and five brothers also survive: Mrs. Elmer Lemke, Embarrass; Mrs. Martin Baerenwald, Janesville; Emil of Unity; Fred of Birnamwood; Arnold of Clintonville; William of Shawano; and Henry in the armed forces. Two sisters and one brother preceded him in death.

Interment was postponed until Monday due to the fact that the brother Henry was unable to get here before Sunday night.

Pallbearers were Leslie Keuer, Herbert Keuer, Fred Wesenberg, Larry Staffacher, Arnold Nitshke and Albert Masspole.
