Bartosiewicz, Florence T. (10 NOV 1945)
Stanley Cukla, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Cukla, and Miss Florence T. Bartosiewicz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bartosiewicz of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in the holy bonds of matrimony in a ceremony performed by Rev. Francis Piekarski at St. Hedwig’s Church at ten o’clock on Saturday morning, Nov. 10th, 1945. The couple was attended by Frank Cukla, brother of the groom, as best man, and Lucille Bartosiewicz, sister of the bride, as bridesmaid.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired beautifully in a white lace and net gown over heavy satin with long train. She wore a finger tip veil which fell from a tiara of orange blossoms and ruffled net. She wore a crystal necklace with matching earrings and a wrist watch, the groom’s gift. Her bridal bouquet was of white chrysanthemums and carnations.
In the solemn part of the ceremony, the bride, attended by the matron of honor, Mrs. Margie Maier, carried a white bouquet to the altar of the Blessed Virgin.
The matron of honor, the bride’s sister, wore a gown of navy blue velvet with full white skirt over white satin and a white blusher. She carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations.
Other attending couples were Teddy Kaszubowski and Leona Novak, niece of the groom, Andrew Burzynski and Ann Janczycki, cousin of the groom, and Melvin and Florence Bartosiewicz, cousins of the bride. All the bridesmaids were dressed in maroon velvet with full net pink skirts over pink satin. They carried bouquets of yellow chrysanthemums and each wore a locket, gift of the bride.
The groom and best man wore tuxedos.
A reception to the couple was held at the P.N.A. Hall in Thorp.
The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in South Bend, Ind. And will make their future home in Chicago.
Out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nowatha, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nowatha and family, Mrs. Joe Resil and son Arthur, all of South Bend, Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. John Hint and nephew, Leon Skwiercznski, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Cukla, Mr. and Mrs. George Cukla, Mr. and Mrs. John Cukla, Frank Cukla, Mrs. And Mrs. Stanley Swigon, Mrs. Stella Oparka and daughter Helen, Misses Ann and Stella Janczycki and nephew, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Wasilewski, all of Chicago, Ill.
