Kusmierz, Louis (25 AUG 1878 - 14 DEC 1945)
Louis Kusmierz, 67, passed away of heart trouble in his sleep on Dec. 14, 1945, at his home in Worden (Clark Co., Wis.).
The deceased was born in Poland, Aug. 25, 1878. He moved to Thorp in 1927 from Gary, Ind., and operated a farm in the town of Worden until his death.
Four children preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Josephine Wojcik Kusmierz and five children, (Harriet) Mrs. John Pudlo, Barney Kusmierz of Gary, Ind., (these are children of his first marriage); Stanley Kusmierz of Gary, Ind., Sophie Wozniak, Stanley, Wis., (Josephine) Mrs. Henry Koman of Milwaukee, Wis.; 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one brother, Joseph Kusmierz and two sisters, Mrs. Vincent Matyscik and Mrs. John Kapica of Gary, Ind., and a number of nephews and nieces.
Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Church in Lublin at 10:00 a.m., Monday morning, Dec. 17th, Rev. J.F. Polaszewski officiating. Interment was made in the Lublin Cemetery.
Those who attended the funeral from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. Henry Koman and family of Milwaukee, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Kusmierz and family, Mrs. John Pudlo, Barney Kusmierz, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kusmierz, Mrs. Walter Hac, Walter Kusmierz, Mrs. Vincent Matyscik, Mrs. John Kapica, Mrs. John Kusmierz, all of Gary, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Kula of Stanley, Mrs. Frank Koman of Thorp.
Pallbearers were: Harry Boie, Harvey Boie, Bruno Lis, Jacob Kula, Frank Igras, Joseph Miles.
