Kastel, Marcella A. (27 FEB 1946)
At a nuptial high mass at St. Ann’s Church, Stanley, Wis., Wednesday morning, Feb. 27, 1946, at 9:30 o’clock, Miss Marcella Anna Kastel, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kastel of Stanley, became the bride of Friman Baures, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baures of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. Paul Pitzenberger performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a gown of white satin and net, the fitted satin bodice make with anet yoke, round neck and long pointed sleeves and the full net skirt ended n a long train. Her lace edged, fingertip veil fell from a beaded coronet. She carried a shower bouquet of white and pink roses.
She chose as her matron of honor, her sister, Mrs. Emmett Ruff of Edson, who wore a gown of aqua satin, made with fitted bodice and full skirt. She wore a blusher veil to match and carried an arm bouquet of pink and white roses and carnations.
Her bridesmaid was Miss Bernice Haas, a niece of the groom, who wore a gown of pink satin and net with a pink blusher and carried an arm bouquet similar to that of the matron of honor.
The groom and his attendants, Emmett Ruff and Ed Baures, his brother, wore dark suits with white carnation boutonnieres.
Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Stanley auditorium, where a wedding dinner was served to about 50 guests. A three-tier white wedding cake trimmed with pink roses centered the bride’s table.
