Victor Turner of Wisconsin Rapids drove to Neillsville Saturday afternoon to visit his mother, Mrs. Hattie Turner, who, since her dismissal from the Neillsville hospital last Tuesday, has been convalescing at the home of her son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. George Turner, Neillsville; not the Emil Schoenfeld home as was stated in last week’s news.

Gary Turner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Turner, is confined to his home with chicken pox.

Mrs. Ervin Thur and baby son, Arnold, arrived home Saturday.

York Center was exceptionally well represented at the Cousin Elmer show "Up Jumped the Devil," presented at the Granton armory last Tuesday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Free entertained a group of friends and neighbors Thursday evening in honor of their daughter, Viola’s eleventh birthday.

Mrs. Nyle Benedict spent Friday afternoon with Mrs. Leo Schecklman.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Schecklman and son Jimmy spent Sunday afternoon at the Tony Walter home.

Mrs. Lloyd Vandeberg, Chicago, who has been visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Walker, left Tuesday night for San Antonio, Texas, where she will join her husband, who is training there.

Violet Poziombka is spending a couple of weeks at the Hubert Quicker home in Neillsville, where she went Sunday evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hawley and son Wilbur were supper guests at the Paul Frishman home Sunday evening.

Paul Frishman is suffering from a case of shingles.

Mrs. Bill Eibergen drove to Marshfield Sunday and took her sister, Mrs. Will Campbell, to the hospital, where she expects to undergo an operation.
