Mr. and Mrs. Glen Bowen and family, accompanied by Mrs. Valeria Stratton, all of Alma Center, called at the Converse Beeckler home last Tuesday forenoon.
Mrs. Irving Grassman returned Thursday afternoon from her visit with relatives at New Lisbon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Jahr, Granton, and their guest, Harry Salsbury of California; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jahr and daughter Marion drove to Spencer last Wednesday evening to visit with Mr. and Mrs. William Kadolph.
Mr. and Mrs. John Young of Stanley were Thursday afternoon visitors of the latter’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Jahr. They also called on their old friends. Mr. and Mrs. Young have recently returned from Alaska, where they spent a year, and have now purchased a home in Stanley.
Mrs. Marvin Jahr of Eau Claire spent the week-end here with her husband and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jahr.
Clayton Converse and his sister, Mrs. Orra Beeckler, transacted business in Neillsville Monday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. S. McCumber of Winter called on her sister, Mrs. Irving Grassman, on their way home from New Lisbon last Thursday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Elmhurst, the latter’s sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Cy Anderegg, Loyal, spent several days the past week on a northern fishing trip. Bill Johnson and Bobbie Bartch assisted with farm chores.
Mrs. Tillie Schmitz, who has been receiving medical treatment in Marshfield the past several weeks, is much improved and is again living with her daughter, Mrs. Louie Farber.
Mr. and Mrs. Truman Davis, Granton, spent Monday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wright and Grandma Downer.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gardner of Bay City, Minn., spent several days the past week visiting cousins at the Frank Gardner and Les Todd homes.
