Jaskot, Joseph Sr. (11 NOV 1889 - 24 MAY 1946)

Joseph Jaskot Sr., of the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at his farm home of cancer on Friday, May 24th, 1946. He had reached the age of 56 years, 6 months and 13 days.

The deceased was born in Poland on Nov. 11, 1889. He came to America in Nov. 1910 and resided for several years in Donora, Pa. On Feb. 7, 1915 he was united in marriage to Mary Olszowik in West Virginia. They moved to Thorp in 1916 and located on a farm in the Town of Reseburg.

Mr. Jaskot leaves to mourn, ten sons, Walter, Clemence, Bernard, Albin and Raymond at home, Leopold in the Army Service stationed near Alaska, John, Joe, Leon, Edward of Chicago; three daughters, Anna (Mrs. Bill Szydlowski) and Jean (Mrs. Joseph Lobacz), of Chicago, Irene at home; one brother, George Jaskot of Allentown, Pa., and two sisters, Mary and Victoria in Poland.

Funeral services were held at St. Hedwig’s Church, Tuesday morning, May 18th at 10:00 o’clock. Interment was made in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons of the deceased, Walter, John, Joe, Leon, Edward and Clemence Jaskot.
