Minett, Mr./Mrs. Walter (50th Anniv. - 27 Feb. 1945)

The golden wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Minett was celebrated February 27 at their home in the town of Lynn. They kept open house from 2 to 5, with refreshments served to friends. A dinner was served in the evening to the immediate family and relatives.

Mr. and Mrs. Minett were married at Troy Center, Wis., February 27, 1895. They farmed for years in the vicinity of Richland Center, and came to Clark county about 30 years ago, first locating on a farm in the town of Fremont. From there they moved to a farm in the town of Lynn, where they now reside and where the anniversary was celebrated.

Mr. and Mrs. Minett have four living children: Cecil Minett of Granton, Wilmer Minett of Granton, Harold Minett of San Diego, Cal., and Izeyl Minett of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A fifth child, Theda, died in infancy. There are five grandchildren.

All members of the family were present at the celebration except the Harold Minetts of San Diego. Relatives present from away were Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Wanless and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Wanless of Richland Center.
