Seibold, Andrew (18 Nov. 1858 - 28 June 1944)

Funeral services for Andrew Seibold, who died June 28, at his home northwest of Greenwood, were held July 2. The Rev. B. M. Fresenborg officiated. Interment was made in the Braun Settlement Cemetery.

Mrs. Theodore Braun, Mrs. Otto Horn, Mrs. John Vollrath, and Miss Bernice Vollrath, accompanied by Mrs. Adolph Wessel, sang, "At the Cross," "Nearer, Still, Nearer," and "Good Night and Good Morning."

Pallbearers were: William Alpersetett, Herman Damerow, Jake Speich, Edward Bruan, Gustav Horn, and James Metcalf. Flowers were carried by Eileen Kuehn, Loretta and Delores Laabs and Jeanette Seibold.

Andrew Seibold was born at Bavaria, Germany, November 18, 1858. He came to America with his father at the age of 8, and settled in Milwaukee, when he was 16 years old. He came to Abbotsford, where he stayed with his sister, and later came to Clark County, where he was employed at the Harry Mead logging camp.

He was united in marriage to Lena Conrad of Mayville, June 5, 1884. They settled on a piece of land in the town of Warner, where they made their home for 44 years.

In 1926 they sold their farm to their son, John, and built a home on an adjoining place. Here he lived until the time of his death. To this union ten children were born.

Mrs. Siebold died on June 10, 1931.

Mr. Seibold was united in marriage in September, 1932, to Mrs. Joseph Hummel of Oakfield, who survives.

Also surviving are the following children: Mrs. Robert, Louise, Dolan, Dodsland Saskatchewan, Canada; Louie, Herschel, Saskatchewan, Canada; Harry, Jarvie Albert, Canada; Mrs. Hubert, Lena, Kuehn, Greenwood; Mrs. Alfred, Ina, Laabs, Stanley, and John, on the home farm.

Those from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Laabs and daughters, Loretta and Delores, Stanley; Albert and Elmer Krokson, Cornell; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Strebe of Abbotsford; and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mews of Marshfield.
