Creviere, Elizabeth (? - 1944)

Mrs. Elizabeth Creviere of Antigo, mother of Mrs. Lillian Schweinler, long of Neillsville died Monday in Antigo of burns. She was evidently the victim of the explosion of a kerosene stove.

Mrs. Creviere lived along, and was in good health, through 84 years of age. When discovered, Mrs. Creviere had evidently tried to put out the flames in her clothing by rolling on the floor. She died in a few hours.

The news of this misfortune reached relatives in Neillsville late Monday, and on that same day word came that Capt. Charles Schweinler is in an English hospital, with a leg broken in three places.

Mrs. Creviere was known in Neillsville chiefly through the Schweinler family, the six children of Mrs. Lillian Schweinler having been reared here. They are: Mrs. Earl Bruhn of Neillsville, Mrs. Don Saxton of Beloit, Lieut. Col. Francis Schweinler of Birmingham, Ala.; Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Schweinler of Marinette, Capt. Dale Schweinler of New Guinea, Capt. Charles in England and Pfc. Duane in England.
