Beardsley, William F. (? - 1944)

Mrs. J. L. Neverman has received word of the death of her nephew, Ph. M. 2/c William F. Beardsley, 19, son of the late Otis and Hattie (King) Beardsley, formerly of Neillsville and Granton. He was killed in action in the South Pacific, and buried at sea with full naval honors.

The youth enlisted in the navy in August, 1942, and later transferred to the marines. He had been in the South Pacific 18 months. He was expected at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Ray **Rest Cut off.***
