Gruber, Bernice M. (6 JUL 1946)

On Saturday afternoon, July 6, 1946, at 2:00 o’clock at St. Ann’s Rectory, Stanley, Wis., occurred the marriage of Miss Bernice Margaret, youngest daughter of Math. Gruber of Stanley, to Walter R. Rusch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rusch of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.). Rev. Paul Pitzenberger performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a street length dress of blue silk crepe with white accessories and a corsage of gardenias. She was attended by her sister, Miss Elaine Gruber, R.N., who was gowned in gray silk with white accessories and wore a corsage of carnations and roses. The groom and his attendant, William Kuhn, wore light suits with a gardenia and carnation boutonniere, respectively.

The wedding party later went to Eau Claire, where a wedding dinner was enjoyed at the Hotel Eau Claire.

The bride is a graduate of the local high school and since her graduation has been employed at Dr. S.F. Ebert’s Dental Office, and also at the Stanley Theater. The groom is employed in Eau Claire, since his discharge from the Army, where he was a War Prisoner in Germany for 16 months.
