Smith, Melvin (1908? - Mar. 1945)

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church here last Wednesday for Melvin Smith. He died suddenly in the state of Washington, where he had been employed in a war plant. Mr. Smith was 37 years of age and a graduate of the Humbird high school with the class of 1926. He is survived by his wife and two children, besides his brothers and sisters.

Guy Smith came from Freeport, Ill., Monday to attend the funeral of his brother, Melvin, and to spend a few days at the home of his brother, Steve, and family.
