Kunkel, Leopold (*1928? - 23 Mar 2008)

Leopold Kunkel, 80, town of Frankfort, died Sunday, March 23, 2008 at Kennedy Park Medical and Rehabilitation Center.

Services will be Sunday, April 20, at 1:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church High Steeple, Edgar. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the US Army. Leopold was a retired farmer.

Survivors include three sons, Keith (Cindy), Sussex, Kevin (Dawn), Rothschild, and Kent (Julie), Edgar; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Edward, Spokane, WA and Donald (Ida Mae), Stratford; and two sisters, Margie (Duane) Frahmann, Marshfield and Hildegard Homann, Bloomer.

Helke Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
