Olson, Knute (1857? - 8 MAR 1945)
Funeral services were conducted at the Evangelical Lutheran Church on Sunday afternoon, March 11, for Knute Olson, age 87, who passed away on March 8, 1945 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Matt Arnes at Baronette. The deceased was a pioneer of this community (Curtiss, Clark Co., Wis.), leaving here over thirty years ago. Besides his daughter he is survived by two sons, Ed Olson of Baronette and Chris Johnson of Black River Falls. Rev. G.E. Borreson officiated.
Norman Erickson sang "Abide With Me" and "The Old Rugged Cross."
Pallbearers were Barney Arnes, Melvin Arnes, Carl Uehlin, John Loken, Cornell Erickson and Morris Klemetson.
Relatives from Baronette attending were Mrs. Matt Arnes, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Olson, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Uehlin, Mrs. Harry Arnes, Melvin Arnes, Barney Arnes, Mrs. Preston Lampson, Misses Mable and LaVonne Arnes, and Mrs. Ted Owens; Mr. and Mrs. Christ Johnson of Black River Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Oluf Borgemon, Chelsea; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Olson and Mr. and Mrs. John Borgemon, Cherokee; Mrs. Carla Sturner, Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Steinke of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Peterson and family, Abbotsford; and Mr. and Mrs. Emil Erickson, Dorchester, Wis. Burial was made on the family lot in the parish Cemetery.
