Gustafson, Eleanore (30 JUN 1945)
Last Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Congregational Church, with the pastor, Rev. Walter Spencer, officiating, Edward Raciborski and Miss Eleanore Gustafson spoke the vows which made them man and wife. Before the ceremony, Miss Rachel Holverson sang "I Love You Truly." Miss Maxine Thorson, church organist, accompanied Miss Holverson,a nd also played the wedding march from Lohengrin.
The bride was attired in a white satin gown trimmed with seed pearls, fingertip veil, and carried a bouquet of roses and gardenias.
The bridesmaid was Miss Paulina Raciborski, in a peach net gown, and the maid of honor was Miss Marion Gustafson, in a blue net gown. Both carried mixed bouquets. The groom’s attendants were Messrs. Henry Moskal and Edward Slewzewski.
The single ring ceremony was used. The bride was given away by her uncle, Hilmer Gustafson.
Out of town guests were, the groom’s mother, Mrs. Louis Raciborski and two sisters, Virginia and Bernice. A large number of local friends and neighbors were also present.
There were fifty guests at the wedding breakfast which followed the ceremony. The couple left Thursday for Chicago where Mr. Raciborski ahs a position in defense work. A trip to Pittsburgh is planned for later.
