Bowman, William A. (2 SEP 1869 - 11 JUL 1945)

William A. Bowman, a pioneer of the city of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), was laid to rest at the Riverside Cemetery, Saturday, July 14 after ending his own life in the basement of his home, at noon, Wednesday, July 11, 1945.

Rev. Walter L. Spencer officiated.

Mr. Bowman had been retired for the past several years and at the time of his death was 75 years of age. His wife has been in ill health for the past six weeks since suffering a stroke. His daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dewey Bowman of Sault St. Marie, had been at the Bowman home for the past seven weeks and was joined here last Thursday by her husband, Dewey, who arrived as soon as he learned of his father’s death.
