William Lewin, age 87, succumbed to old age complications at his farm home in the Town of Reseburg (Clark Co., Wis.), a week ago today, Oct. 11, 1945.

Funeral services were conducted from the Lutheran Church at Reseburg, Monday, Oct. 15, with Rev. F. Sprengler officiating. Interment was made in the Lakeside Cemetery at Fremont.

William Lewin was born on sept. 4, 1858 at Readfield. On July 4, 1892 he was united in marriage to Abbie Holmes, to which union two sons and four daughters were born.

His wife preceded him in death on March 9, 1933. One sister, Ernestine Harmon, passed away last October 7, and was laid to rest the day he passed away.

He is survived by his sons, Arthur and Herbert, both of Thorp, and daughters, Mrs. Esther buss, Withee; Mrs. Winnie Christorf, Boyd, Mrs. Ruth Parmenter, Janesville, and Mrs. Ada Vetterkind of Thorp, 19 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
