Hacker, Carl D. (17 November 1932 - 2 April 2008)

CARL D. HACKER

Carl D. Hacker, age 75, of the Town of Wescott, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2008, at his home.

Carl was born on Nov. 17, 1932, in the Town of Belle Plaine; he was the son of the late Carl G. and Clara (Perry) Hacker. On February 22, 1955, he was united in marriage to Alice Hoernke in Shawano. Alice preceded him in death on Sept. 17, 1989. Carl lived his entire life in the Shawano area and was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano.

Carl is survived by three children: David (Cindy) Hacker of Jacksonville, FL, Evan Hacker of Shawano, and Frances (Jon) Williams of Thorp; five grandchildren: Laura Hacker Justin Hacker, Curtis Wendt, Allison Wendt, and Monica Williams; step-grandchildren: Jon Williams Jr. and family, Mindy Schultze and family, Coty Evers, Kayla Williams, and special friend Alice Dahl of Green Bay.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Alice; his son, Bruce; his parents; two brothers: Oscar Hacker and Clarence Hacker; and one sister, LaVerna Haltinner.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. Ronald Raddatz officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in the Town of Belle Plaine. Family and friends called at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Monday, April 7, from 4 until 8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday after 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
