Drewelow, Maxine Almyra (14 February 1928 - 1 June 2008)

MAXINE ALMYRA DREWELOW

Maxine Drewelow, 80, of Neillsville died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at the Memorial Health and Rehabilitation Center in Neillsville.

Maxine Almyra Drewelow was born February 14, 1928, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Max and Evelyn (Nelson) Hoppe. She was united in marriage to Arlow W. Drewelow June 7, 1947, in Minneapolis.

She is survived by six children, Michelle Drewelow of Canton, Michael (Kathy) Drewelow of Moorhead, MN, Patrick (Linda) Drewelow of Princeton, MN, Bonnie (Miles) Petersen of Phillips, Joseph Drewelow of Montrose, MN, and Robert (Renee) Drewelow of Albertville, MN; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Hoppe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlow; her parents, Max Hoppe and Evelyn Carlson; and one daughter, Joanne Gleichman.

A Memorial Mass for Maxine will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The celebrant will be Fr. Woodrow H. Pace. Interment will be in the Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Cemetery in Spooner at a later date. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Maxine’s family with funeral arrangements.
