ARLENE K. DEBEVEC
Arlene K. Debevec, 52, formerly of Willard, died Monday, June 2, 2008, surrounded by her family at the House of the Dove Hospice Home, Marshfield.
Arlene was born March 26, 1956, in Neillsville, the daughter of Robert and Josephine (Gutt) Debevec. She attended Greenwood community schools and was a 1974 graduate of Greenwood High School. She also graduated from Chippewa Valley Technical College, where she received an accounting degree. She later obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Lakeland College.
She had been employed at IBI in Osseo, Johnson Garment Company in Marshfield and in he accounting department of the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation. Lastly, she had been employed for Winona County from September of 2006 until the present time.
She is survived by her father Robert Debevec of Willard; sisters, Susan Debevec of Windsor, CT, Sandra (Parks) Hisey of Carpentersville, IL, Marjorie (Dave) Debevec Marksteiner of Marshfield and Laura (Darrell) Debevec-Schultze of Willard; a brother-in-law, Daniel Oelhafen of Neillsville; nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews, Sara (Jesse Marsh) Tytor, Stacy (Jamie) Petit, Nathan Tytor, Valerie (Jeff) Deegan, Ronald (Janelle) Thomas and their children, Ryan, Jaelyn, Kaytlyn, Lauryn and Addisyn, Dave B. Thomas, April (Brad) Schmidt and their daughter, Caleigh, Mica (John Mirenda) Debevec, Sasha Debevec-McKenney and Evan Debevec-McKenney. She is further survived by Sophia Maria, her standard poodle.
She was predeceased by her mother, Josephine; her sister, Joanne Oelhafen; and her brother, Ronald Debevec.
A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Holy Family Parish Center in Willard.
Rembs Funeral Home is assisting the family.
The family will designate a memorial in Arlene’s name at a later date.
