Jones, Carrie (APR 1901)
(Duluth Herald)
A very pretty wedding took place last night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.L. Miles, of 1418 East Fourth St. Miss Carrie Jones, formerly of Neillsville, Clark Co., Wis., and Byron Dale Elliott, formerly of Pataskala, Ohio, were united in the bonds of wedlock, Rev. Bower Reynolds Patrick of the First Baptist Church, officiating. At 8:15 o’clock the wedding march, beautifully played by Miss Winters, began. The bride was charmingly attired in a gown of white silk trimmed with blue and white, and she carried white roses. Miss Myra Grandy, the maid of honor, was attired in pink and white and carried pink roses. H.L. Winters of Scranton, Pa., was the best man.
The house decorations were tasteful and beautiful. Pink and white were the dominant colors. Refreshments followed the ceremony, and an excellent musical program was given. The couple received a number of handsome and useful presents. The groom, Mr. Elliott, is employed in the piano department at French & Bassett’s.
