Huntzicker, Olive #3 (26 JUN 1901)
At 8 o’clock last evening Mr. Will L. Smith of Eau Claire and Miss Olive Huntzicker were united in marriage at the home of Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Root, T. Grafton Owen officiating.
The bride wore a gown of pearl white silk mulle, with valenciennes lace over pearl white taffeta silk, and the groom appeared in the conventional black. The house was decorated with ferns and American beauty roses.
Those who attended the ceremony were: Mrs. Charlotte R. Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Otis Smith, Miss Kate Smith and Miss Helen Wright of Eau Claire; Mr. Carl F. Ogden of Black River Falls; Mr. Edward M. Gilbert of Blaire; Mr. Earl L. Hall of Minneapolis; Mrs. Bridget McMahon, Miss Grace McMahon, Mr. and Mrs. John Shanks, Miss Clara Huntzicker, and Mr. George Huntzicker of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hantke of Pleasant Ridge; Miss Alma Holtzhausen of Thorp.
After the ceremony an elaborate lunch was served, and music provided. The presents were numerous and costly. Mr. and Mrs. Smith remain at home for the present, and are receiving the congratulations of a host of friends. Mr. Smith was principal of the North Side School last year, and will teach in the South Side or high school during the coming year. The bride is the only daughter of Mrs. Root, and a young lady of many admirable traits. The Times extends heartiest congratulations.
