Delmond W. Johnson

GREENWOOD -- Delmond Warren Johnson, 87, of Greenwood, died Thursday, May 22, 2008, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Greenwood. Burial will follow in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Greenwood is assisting the family with arrangements.

Delmond was born March 14, 1921, in Greenwood to John E. and Annie E. (Johnson) Johnson. He married Amber Nolan on June 2, 1945, at Our Savior's Lutheran parsonage. He took over the family farm and drove a school bus for the Greenwood School District for 20 years. He retired in 1990 and continued to help his son, Dean, on the family farm for several more years.

He is survived by his wife, Amber Johnson of Greenwood; his children, Mike (Shirley), Greenwood, Karen (Duane) Milz, Medford, and Dean (Suzanne), Eau Claire; 15 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
