GRANTON -- Darlene Ann Harris, age *62, of Granton, was pronounced dead on Wednesday, May 28, 2008, at her home. No funeral services are planned.

Darlene was born on April 21, *1946, in Neillsville, the daughter of Harry and Hilda Kuehn. She was united in marriage to Richard Harris in 1971. They owned and operated Harris Logging and for over 20 years she was the skid operator. Richard died in 1995, and in 1997 Darlene began working as a CNA at the Memorial Nursing Home in Neillsville until her illness forced her retirement.

She is survived by one son, Kevin (Diane) Harris of Neillsville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Russell (Sharon) Kuehn of Granton and Gerold (Donna) Kuehn of Neillsville.

The Gesche Funeral Home is assisting Darlene's family.

According to the Public Directory, Darlene is listed with the bith year of 1944 not 1946.

Also note that her age is listed differently in both newspapers.
