Zille, Lovella (Marriage - 21 July 1945)
On Saturday, July 21, 1945, Miss Lovella Zille, daughter of Fred Zille of Neillsville, became the bride of Henry Herian, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Herian, Sr., of Neillsville. The single-ring ceremony was read by Justice of the Peace John S. Holinshead at the city hall at Wisconsin Dells.
The bride was attired in a white wool suit with a pink sheer blouse. She wore a corsage of roses and sweet peas. She was attended by Mrs. Hilda Martiny. Frank Trumble was the groom’s best man. Both of the attendants are from Wisconsin Dells. The couple left after the ceremony for a week’s tour of southern Wisconsin.
Mrs. Herian was graduated from Ripon high school and from Central State Teachers’ college. She has taught for five years at Greenwood, Shortville and Willard. For the past year she was employed in the Allis-Chalmers plant and the Hawley road plant at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The groom attended his first year of high school in Neillsville and was later employed in the Quality Market and the Coast-to-Coast store. He recently received his honorable discharge from the army. He served for 38 months in the southwest Pacific area with the Thirty-Second division.
