Schmidt, Alice May (Marriage - 5 Sept. 1945)
Alice May Schmidt, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schmidt of Neillsville, became the bride of Cpl. John Henry Senske of Minneapolis at a ceremony September 5 in the Chapel of Bethel Lutheran church, Madison. A small group of immediate relatives and friends attended the candlelight double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fryer of Madison were attendants.
The bride wore a melon colored soft wool suit, and a feathered hat with plume to match the suit. She wore black accessories and a white orchid corsage.
The bridesmaid was attired in a tan suit and carried a bouquet of talisman roses.
Following a honeymoon in the north woods, the groom will return to Boca Raton army air base in Florida, and hopes soon to receive a discharge from the army.
