Brown, Marguerite Ann (Marriage - 9 Nov. 1945)

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Tibbets, newlyweds, have returned from a wedding trip to southern Wisconsin. Mrs. Tibbets, the former Marguerite Ann Brown, expects to resume her teaching duties at New London, while Mr. Tibbets will attend a radar school in South Carolina.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown of Neillsville. The groom is the son of Mrs. Inez Tibbets of Stevens Point.

The couple was married at the home of the bride’s parents on Friday, November 9, at 5 p.m. The Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiated.

The bride was attired in an aqua colored afternoon dress trimmed with bands of white, and wore a shoulder corsage of white chrysanthemums and pompons.

The maid of honor was Miss Joan Brown, sister of the bride.

The groom’s attendant was Merton Schneider of Stevens Point.

After the wedding a dinner was served at the Merchants hotel.

Mrs. Tibbets is a graduate of the Neillsville high school, class of 1941, and of Lawrence College Conservatory of Music at Appleton. She has since been teaching music at the New London high school.

Mr. Tibbets completed the V-12 engineering program at the University of Wisconsin, and is a recent graduate of the Midshipman school at Columbia, S.C.

Guests from out-of-town were: Mrs. C. J. Hogg, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Hogg and Mrs. Norman Larson, all of Melrose; Miss Hazel Tibbets and Merton Schneider of Stevens Point.
