Hagen, Rose Marie (10 Sept. 1907 - 25 Nov. 1944)

Mrs. John Hagen, 37, died at Black River Falls, November 25, 1944, after an illness of nine months.

Rose Marie Schroeder was born in the town of Washburn September 10, 1907. She received her early education at the Cannonville School; later attended the Neillsville High School; graduated with the class of 1924. After teaching for a time she was married to Archie Marden, who died November 29, 1933. In 1936 she was married to John M. Hagen of Black River Falls, who survives her.

Surviving beside her husband are five children: three daughters, Geneva, Delores and Bonnie and two sons, Raymond and Archie; her mother, Mrs. Otto Schroeder, one sister, Mrs. Harold Ottow, both of Neillsville, and a step brother, Ray Chatman of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One daughter died May 4, 1944.

Burial took place at Black River Falls. Among relatives attending the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. James West, Mr. and Mrs. William Ottow, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ottow and daughter, Betty, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Ebert, Mr. and Mrs. William Hagen and family, all of Neillsville.
