Lesza, Albina (26 JAN 1942)
Traveling northward on their honeymoon were Richard Rakovec and his bride, the former Albina Lesza, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Lesza of Chicago, who were married on Monday, January 26, at St. Stephen’s Catholic church in Chicago.
A white satin ankle length gown, with train, was worn by the bride as she was claimed in marriage by the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rakovec Sr., of Willard. Billowing over the full skirt of the dress and wide train was her finger tip veil, which swept backward from a tiara head dress. She carried a bouquet of Gardenias.
Miss Erna Lesza, sister of the bride, attended as bridesmaid in a star-dust blue taffeta, with tiara to match, and carried a bouquet of yellow roses.
The groom, who wore an army uniform, was attended by Mike Trinco. Who wore a blue tuxedo.
Before the ceremony, the bride presented a bouquet on the Altar of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
After the nuptial mass at 9 o’clock, a breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s parents to immediate relatives.
On Tuesday the couple arrived at the home of the groom’s parents in Hendren for a short vacation.
The groom received his honorable discharge from the army last November.
A wedding dance was held at the West Side Hall last Saturday evening.
