Glender, Linda Lou (Marriage - 4 Oct. 1944)

In a wedding ceremony performed Wednesday, October 4, in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at Loyal, Miss Linda Lou Glende, daughter of Mrs. Minnie Glende, became the bride of Romaine Seidlemann, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Seidlemann. The Rev. J. C. Langholz officiated.

The bride was attired in a floor length white brocaded taffeta, and carried pink, white and red carnations, with white asters and pink gladioli. She wore a gold locket of the groom’s mother. Her veil was fingertip length, decorated with lace and fancy crown orange blossoms. The bride was attended by Verna Glende, sister, and Viola Anderegg, a cousin of the groom.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the groom’s parents. Sixty guests were served.

The young couple will reside on the farm of the groom’s father near Greenwood. They took a trip to St. Paul and Pine River, Minn.

The bride attended high school in La Crosse and has been an attendant at the Wood County hospital at Marshfield. The groom is a graduate of the Loyal High School. He took the census of the town of York in 1940.

Guests present for away were Mr. and Mrs. Mike Seidlemann, New Lisbon; Mrs. Minnie Glende and two sons, James and Donald, Joe Wold, Lawrence Sturmer and Lois Drogger, all of Medford; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Seidlemann of Merrimac; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Seidlemann of Neillsville; William Seidlemann of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. John Knoll and son Robert of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Seif of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Levandusky of Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. John Kronbeger of Spencer.
