Thorp Happenings
Victor Graikowski has bought the 80-acre farm owned previously by John Wojcik three miles south of Thorp. The Wojciks will retire.
To Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Alger a boy.
F. J. Conway, head of Thorp finance, is again in Thorp, after three weeks of treatment in Rochester, Minn.
The Ed. Wards have moved to Cazenvoia, where they have a retail store.
Pvt. George Obreski recently flew to Thorp for his furlough, and brought his mother, Mrs. Frank Obreski, with him. George is stationed at Fort Knox, Ky.
Pfc. Anton Detkiewicz of Thorp was wounded November 6 in Germany. He has previously been wounded in France. He is the son of Mrs. Marek Drepa of Thorp.
John Zuikowski, town of Withee, has announced the engagement of his daughter Veronica to Pvt. George C. Grabowski of Chicago, who has just returned to this country after 27 months in the Pacific theater of war. Miss Zukowski is a corporal in the WAC, and works as a radio mechanic in the air corps at Gardner field, Cal.
