Unity - May 31, 1917

Prof. Arthur Dietz was a Marshfield caller Saturday.

Ed Blood was a Marshfield visitor Wednesday forenoon.

Miss Martha Beyer was a Hub City visitor Tuesday forenoon.

Tom Tuttle of Abbotsford transacted business here Wednesday.

Quite a number from here attended the Memorial Exercises at Colby Wednesday.

Misses Katie and Essie Patrick did shopping at the Hub City last week Thursday afternoon.

Jack Creed of Spencer, was the guest of his cousin Nyole Creed, in our village last week Wednesday.

Mr. and Mrs. Chester Sheldon and children of Marshfield, were the guests of relatives here a few days this week.

Mrs. Ed Creed left Tuesday morning for Plover, where she will be the guest of relatives and friends a few days.

Mrs. Alfred Justman and daughter, Mrs. Royal Justman and child, and Miss Emma Johnson autoed to Colby Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kuehling and son Richard, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Fuller and children, autoed to Marshfield Sunday.

Mrs. C. Healy, Mrs. Geo. Feuerhelm of Withee, Mrs. Gus Anderson and Mrs. Percy Thayer of Owen, spent Memorial Day here with relatives and friends.

Misses Malena and Antonia Grambort, Anna and Elfrieda Bleichroth and Hannah Fleischauer of Colby, spent a few hours Sunday in our village.

Mrs. F. L. McMiller and son Franklin of Fond du Lac, arrived here last Friday afternoon on No. 111 and will be the guests of relatives and friends here a few days.

Carl Ewert of Abbotsford, was accidentally killed at Owen Monday while working in a mill at that place. The remains were brought here Tuesday to the home of his father, Carl Ewert. Funeral will be held Friday.
