Bauman, Theresa (1854? - 15 JUNE 1933)

Mrs. Theresa Bauman, 79, a resident of Whitelaw and Manitowoc for about 46 years, was buried at Whitelaw Saturday.

She died Thursday, June 15th at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Lillian McCabe, in St. Paul, Minn. where she had been visiting for two weeks. Previous to that she lived for the last six years in Manitowoc with another daughter, Mrs. Mary Harter, 1418 Madison street.

Mrs. Bauman was born in Germany and was married to Fred Ellerman at Whitelaw 55 years ago. Her husband died in 1897. She married Matt Bauman at Manitowoc 10 years later. His death came two years later. She lived at Whitelaw for about 40 years, at Abbotsford for about 10 years, and the last six years in Manitowoc. Her death came after only two days illness.

She is survived by two sons and seven daughters by her first marriage, John Ellerman of Manitowoc, George Ellerman of Whitelaw, Mrs. Mary Harter of Manitowoc, Mrs. Rose Klann of Cato, Mrs. Clara Hermann of Branch, Mrs. Bertha Stauber of Sawyer, Mrs. Theresa Schmieder of Sheboygan, Mrs. Anna Augustine of Port Washington and Mrs. McCabe of St. Paul.

*Transcriber note: The Wisconsin Genealogy Index has Fred Ellermann marrying Theresia Simmet on July 30, 1877 in Manitowoc County. Also, the death of Frederick Ellermann on March 8, 1898 in Manitowoc County.
