Mundth, Eva Ann (13 FEB 1944)
Miss Eva Ann Mundth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Claridge of Reedsburg, and Pvt. Arthur E. Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Peterson of Curtiss, were united in marriage in the Methodist church at Reedsburg at 4:00 o’clock on Sunday, Feb. 13th. The Rev. G. S. Joslin performed the marriage rites.
The Bridal Party entered the church to the strains of Lohengrin’s Wedding March. The bride was given in marriage by her father. "I Love You Truly," was sung by Miss Shirley Reynolds, a cousin of the bride. The bride was beautiful in a floor length gown of white satin. Her veil was finger tip length and she wore a necklace of pearls, a gift from the groom. She carried an arm bouquet of white roses and sweet peas.
She was attended by Miss Gwendolyn Herrick of Curtiss. Her dress was of blue georgette crepe fashioned like that of the bride. Her matching veil was shoulder length and she carried pink roses. Ralph Peterson, brother of the groom acted as best man and both groom and best man were in army uniform.
The bride’s mother chose as her dress a flowered silk jersey and wore a corsage of yellow roses and lavender sweet peas. The groom’s mother was unable to attend on account of illness.
A reception and dinner was given at the bride’s home immediately following the ceremony. Covers were laid for 22 immediate relatives and friends. A beautiful three tier wedding cake was the attractive centerpiece. Waitresses were the Misses Esther Pelton and Shirley Reynolds.
The groom, an air corps cadet, has been attending Carlton college in Northfield, Minn., studying meteorology. Upon returning there after their marriage, he will be transferred to Grinnell, Iowa, where he will receive further schooling and instructions.
The bride, a graduate of the Reedsburg High School, attended the University of Wisconsin and at present is at Manchester’s in Madison. She plans to continue her work there.
Guests attending the wedding and reception from away were: Mrs. Charles Peterson, E. M. Peterson, Ralph Peterson and Miss Gwendolyn Herrick of Curtiss, Miss Helen Behn and Miss Dorothy Hilsenhoff of Madison, and Miss Phoebe Pelton of Baraboo.
