Warns, June (26 FEB 1944)
Miss June Warns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Warns of Withee, became the bride of Pfc. Melvin Lavine in an informal Saturday evening service, Feb. 26 at the Abbotsford Rectory. Reverend Brockman officiated.
Attending the bride was Mrs. Robert Kuehnast of Chippewa Falls, sister of the groom, and Jack Warns, Jr., of Wausau, acted as best man.
The bride wore a Perry brown costume dress with brown accessories and a corsage of white roses and gardenias.
The bride’s attendant wore a beige costume dress with luggage tan accessories, and a corsage of roses and sweet peas.
The groom, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Lavine of Owen, has just returned from a year’s service in the South Pacific with the Marine Paratroopers. He will report for duty at San Diego on March 14.
The bride, who is teaching at Moody School, will complete her term before joining her husband.
