Reimer, Daughter (1897? - 14 APR 1902)

The little daughter of Mat and Mrs. Albert Reimer, living on the R.W. Balch farm in Levis (Clark Co., Wis.), was burned to death on Monday afternoon while playing about a brush fire that had been set in the work of clearing up land. She was four years of age. Her clothing caught fire, the mother tried to rub out the blaze, burning her hands and arms terribly in so doing, but failing to accomplish her purpose, the little one was so badly burned that she died soon after. The community was inexpressibly shocked by the little one’s frightful death.
